The content of this site is general information and nothing more. It is not an installation manual, not an engineering assessment of your property, and not a substitute for a licensed electrician.
Sizing figures, runtime tables and cost estimates are based on published specifications and typical values. Your appliances, your wiring, your climate and your local code are not typical, and only an on-site professional can tell you what applies to your house.
Work on an electrical service panel, a transfer switch, an interlock or a utility connection is regulated in most jurisdictions and normally requires a licensed electrician, a permit and an inspection.
